Loveree Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026 (version 2.9)

Loveree is a game for couples in development. This policy covers our website, email waitlist and the free first game (Play Strangers). It does not cover purchases; none are offered yet. IKSUM SIA operates Loveree and is responsible for the personal information described here. Our contact details appear below.

1. Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the idea you select, your preferred setting (at home, in the city or either), your confirmation that you are 18 or older, and your request to receive a launch email. We also record when you sign up and the notices presented to you. If email confirmation is available, we record whether you complete it.

We may receive campaign information included in the link you used and the domain that referred you. Our website and infrastructure providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser/device information, request times, pages requested and error records. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message.

Your preferred setting is an activity preference, not your physical location. We do not request a birth date, payment information, your partner’s details (except the first name and, if you choose, the email you give us for Loveree Daily, below), precise location or information about your intimate life. Please do not send sensitive personal information that we do not need to answer your request.

If you ask about a full adventure or gifting a night

On the adventures page you can ask us to tell you first when a full adventure launches. We then store your email, the adventure and the planned price you chose, the time, and, if you are a registered player, a link to your registration. We use it only to send you that launch notice, based on your consent, and to count which adventures interest people. On the gift page you can likewise ask us to tell you when gifting a night is ready; we then store your email, the time and, if you are a registered player, a link to your registration. No payment or card information is collected.

If you invite your partner

When you send an invitation, we store the planned time and your time zone, the place you chose (at home, or the city and starting place), the first name and personal message you add (both optional) and the invitation’s status (opened, accepted or another time suggested). Anyone with the invitation link can see these details, so share it only with your partner. We email you when your partner accepts or suggests another time. Your partner can answer without an account. If your partner leaves an email for a reminder, we send one email about an hour before and they get their own Loveree registration, kept like any player registration. We also record which invitation emails were sent, without the addresses.

Sealed notes and your own dares

At the end of a game each phone may write the other a short sealed note (up to 200 characters). We store the note, the time zone of the phone it is meant for and when it opens: when you both tap (or on its own after 3 days), after the game, the next evening, or a time you pick. It is shown only through its private link; if the reader gave us an email at the end of the game (or we already know it) and the note did not open with both of you there, we email that link when it opens. Otherwise the link is shown on the end screen. A note is deleted 7 days after it was first opened, or 14 days after its opening time if it is never opened. Dares you write yourself for your partner are stored with the game’s answers and deleted when the game ends. Please keep notes and dares free of anything you would not want stored.

4 secret questions

The 4 questions (on the home page and at /q) need no account and no email. We store the option each of you picks and guesses (no typed text), the campaign source of the visit, the times, and two private links in a form we cannot read back. Your partner’s link shows none of your answers until they have answered; after that both of you see both sides. The browser of the person who started keeps her own link in local storage on that device, only so she can come back; clearing the browser removes it. If you give an email for a ping when your partner answers, we use it for that one message and delete it once sent. Everything is deleted after 7 days. Your answers are not passed on to the game. If you start Round 2 or the full game from your results, it starts with no email; we keep a note of which game came from those questions until they are deleted, and the game itself follows the rules for the game below. Your Round 2 link works with the same private link for those 7 days.

Loveree Daily

Loveree Daily is one question every weekday for two, on the home page and at a private link (/d/…). You answer the first question without an account: we store the option you pick and the one you guess for your partner (no typed text), the campaign source of the visit, your browser’s time zone and the time. You then send your partner today’s question: you share his private link yourself (with your phone’s share sheet, a text message, WhatsApp or a copied link; we record which way you chose, not the message), or you ask us to email him. Names and your email are optional. If you give your email (and, if you like, your first name), we email you when he answers and send you a question on weekdays at 7 PM in your time zone; without it, your own private link shows your questions and his answers. If you ask us to email him, you give your first name, his first name and your email, and we send him one email with his private link (and, if you ask, one more). If he has not answered 3 days later, we send you one reminder; we do not write to him again unless he answers. If he answers, the address you gave becomes his own Loveree Daily entry, so he gets the daily question too; if you shared the link yourself, he can give his own email after answering (optional). Neither of you sees the other’s answer to a question until both have answered it; then both of you see both answers and guesses, how many you guessed right this week and how many questions in a row you have both answered. We email the one who answered first when the other one answers. Each of you can switch on “Keep Fridays light”; the other one does not see who did. A week in which you both answered at least 3 questions unlocks a weekend game: we store each of your yes or no and the time you pick, and email you both the link; the game itself follows the rules for the free game below. If a later offer shows a price, tapping that you would pay only records that you would; no payment is taken. Each email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Your private link is stored in a form we cannot read back, plus an encrypted copy used only to put it into your emails. We keep a record of each email we send (its type and time, not its content) so none is sent twice. From the moment you answer your first question, your browser keeps your own private link in one cookie for up to 60 days, only so that opening loveree.com takes you back to your questions and his answers. Clearing your browser removes it, and so does a link that no longer works. If you stop Loveree Daily, it takes you to the page where you can undo that for 24 hours; it is removed once there is nothing left to undo, or at once when you tap LOVEREE HOME there. Nothing else about Loveree Daily is stored in your browser.

Either of you can pause Loveree Daily for a week in Settings: no questions are sent for 7 days, the other one gets one email saying so, and nothing is deleted. If either of you stops Loveree Daily (after a confirmation on the page, from the unsubscribe link in an email, or with your email app’s one-click unsubscribe), the emails stop at once for both of you, the other one gets one email saying so, and the one who stopped gets one email with a link to undo it. If nobody undoes it within 24 hours, the Loveree Daily information of both of you (names, emails, answers, the weekend choices) is deleted. We keep a keyed hash of an unsubscribed address only so we never email it again unless that person signs up themselves. Otherwise a pair is deleted 30 days after the last answer from either of you. We record milestones without names, emails or answers (for example question answered, partner joined, surprise offered, unsubscribed, and how many guesses were right) to decide whether to build Loveree Daily further.

“Something off? Tell us”

On the home page, at the bottom of the Loveree Daily pages and in Loveree Daily emails there is a link to send us a short note. If you send one, we store what you write (up to 500 characters), the type you pick (something broken, something confusing or an idea), your email if you choose to give it (optional; only so we can reply), and, added by the page so we can find the problem: which page and screen you were on, the step and question number, whether you are the one who started the pair or the partner (with the pair’s number, not your name or link), your device and browser (the user agent), the screen and window size, your browser’s time zone, the time, and up to five recent technical error messages from the page. A note that something is broken is emailed to us at once; the others once a day. We use notes only to fix errors and improve Loveree, and keep them for 12 months. To have a note deleted earlier, write to hello@loveree.com.

If you play the free game

To start a game, the first player chooses the game settings and confirms being 18 or older; no email is needed. The second player joins with a code and only confirms being 18 or older. Your email is optional until the end of the game: before the sealed note each phone may give an email so we can send that note the next morning, and may also choose to receive emails about new Loveree adventures (optional and off by default). You can skip this and use a link on the screen instead. If you send an invitation, you may give your email so we can tell you when your partner says yes; it is optional. If we have your email, we send one email with a personal link to come back to your game (the link works for 14 days), and if your partner hasn’t joined 10 minutes after you created a game, one more email with a link back to your game and your partner’s join link. Without an email you can save a personal link shown on the screen; it works for 14 days. A phone that plays without an email is kept as a registration with no email address.

During a game we store the game settings you choose (at home or in the city, tone and comfort settings), the starting city and place you enter in city mode, which steps each phone has completed, the choices you make, timestamps, and the answers you type in conversation rounds. Your partner in the same game sees your answer when the game reveals it; nobody else does. Answers are deleted when the game ends. Please do not type anything into an answer that you would not want your partner to read or that is unnecessary for the game.

At the end of a game each phone may rate the evening (1–5 hearts), pick what it liked best or what we should fix from a short list, say whether it would play a longer version, and optionally write one short comment. Your partner does not see your feedback. This feedback is linked to the game’s settings (mode and tone) and, for a registered player, to the registration. We use it to improve Loveree. It is not deleted with the answers; please do not include names or other personal details in the comment.

We also record game milestones (for example registration, game started, partner joined, each act started and completed, game completed, locked features viewed) to understand how the game is played. These records do not contain your answers.

2. Why we use it

We use your information to:

You do not have to join the waitlist to read the website. To register, we need the information marked as required in the form. We do not use it to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Who receives information

Access is limited to authorized people working on Loveree and providers that help us host and secure the website, store the waitlist and game data and deliver requested email. We require providers acting for us to protect the information and use it for the agreed services. We may disclose limited information where required by law or necessary to address abuse, security incidents or legal claims.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not upload waitlist emails or your selections to advertising audiences. Joining Loveree does not subscribe you to other IKSUM products or partner marketing.

4. Cookies, source statistics and browser signals

The free game uses two strictly necessary cookies: one keeps a registered player signed in on that phone (up to 12 months), and one connects each phone to its own seat in a game (up to 14 days). They are needed for the game you request and are not used for advertising or tracking. Loveree Daily uses one more, described above, that keeps your own private link. While you set up a game, a third cookie on that phone remembers the choices you made (place, tone, comfort settings and, for an invitation, the planned day and time) for up to 2 days, so you can continue where you left off; it contains no email or name, we do not store it on our servers, and it is deleted when the game is created. The website otherwise uses only browser storage necessary for security or a form function you request. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, session replay or email-open tracking. Basic source statistics come from information supplied with website requests and registrations, not a profile of your activity on other websites. We count visits to the home page on our server, including visits where the page’s scripts never run: each visit is recorded at most once per day as a one-way code made from the request (IP address and browser) using a secret key that changes and is discarded every day, so the code cannot be turned back into them, together with the campaign source and whether the page was opened in an app’s built-in browser. We do not store the IP address or browser details for this count. To test which version of our home page works better, each visit randomly sees one of two versions; nothing is stored on your device for this. On the home page and the private Loveree Daily pages, the page’s scripts also tell us, without names or email addresses, which steps were taken (for example that today’s question was answered, the link was sent and by which way, an email was given and on which screen, or the page link was copied), how far down the page was scrolled and how long it was open, together with a random code made for that one page view, the pair’s number once there is one, whether the page is hers or his, and the campaign source of the visit. We use this only to see where people get stuck; it is not used for advertising or shared, and it is kept as anonymous statistics.

We do not permit third parties to collect information through this site for tracking your activity across unrelated websites over time. Our practices do not change when a browser sends the older Do Not Track signal: cross-site tracking remains off. We do not sell or share data for behavioral advertising, whether or not Global Privacy Control is enabled. These signals do not disable necessary site-security functions.

5. Where information is processed

IKSUM SIA operates from Latvia. We use hosting, email and security service providers to operate this website and waitlist. Processing locations depend on the services used and may include countries outside the European Economic Area. We are confirming the processing locations and applicable transfer arrangements with our providers and will update this section when those details are verified. For questions, contact info@iksum.lv.

6. How long we keep it

We keep active waitlist information for up to 12 months after your original signup or a subsequent explicit renewed opt-in. We delete or anonymize it sooner if we abandon the project, fulfill the requested purpose or honor a valid deletion request. If you withdraw consent or unsubscribe, we stop launch marketing and remove you from the active waitlist. We then delete or anonymize information no longer needed, while retaining only the limited records described below where separately justified.

Free game: the answers typed in conversation rounds are deleted as soon as the game ends, or when an unfinished game is closed as abandoned (after 14 days without activity; longer while its planned date is less than 3 days past, or while your personal return link is still valid). The rest of a game — its settings, choices and progress — is deleted 30 days after the game’s last activity. A player registration is deleted 12 months after its last activity, together with the games it started. If you ask to hear first about a full adventure or about gifting, your email (and the adventure and planned price you chose) are kept for 12 months, or until you ask us to delete them. Sealed notes are deleted 7 days after they are opened (14 days after their opening time if never opened). Invitation details are deleted 7 days after the planned time, or earlier together with the game. End-of-game feedback is kept for 12 months and is deleted earlier together with the player registration it belongs to. Loveree Daily: deleted 24 hours after either of you stops it (unless it is undone within those 24 hours), otherwise 30 days after the last answer from either of you. “Something off? Tell us” notes: 12 months, or earlier if you ask at hello@loveree.com. Game milestones that no longer link to a game or a person may be kept as anonymous statistics.

Routine technical logs are kept for up to 30 days unless particular records are needed to investigate an incident. We keep correspondence only while needed to handle your request and related follow-up. Limited records may be retained longer where necessary to meet legal duties, handle a specific dispute, demonstrate consent or ensure that an unsubscribe request is respected. Those records are not used to resume marketing.

Deleted information may remain in protected backups until they expire through the normal backup cycle. If a backup is restored, deletion and suppression instructions are reapplied. We may keep statistics that have been made anonymous so that they no longer identify you.

7. Your choices and rights

You can leave the waitlist using the unsubscribe link in an email from us or by emailing info@iksum.lv. You can withdraw consent at any time. This does not change the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.

You can contact the same address to request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also submit a request concerning sale, sharing or targeted advertising, although we do not engage in those activities. Some rights are subject to legal conditions or exceptions.

We may need to verify that a request comes from you or an authorized representative. We normally respond within one month, or sooner where applicable law requires. If a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain the reason and timing. If we decline a request, we will explain why and how to ask us to review that decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

You may complain to Latvia’s Data State Inspectorate at https://www.dvi.gov.lv/en or to another competent authority.

8. Security and age limit

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website or storage system is completely secure.

Loveree’s website and waitlist are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will show the new date on this page. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the website or contact affected subscribers as appropriate. If a new use requires your consent, we will ask before starting that use.
